Tom joined CIVIL CONSULTANTS in 1977, when the company first opened. At that time, he worked with the owners as an instrument man and crewmember. After five years as a crewmember, instrument man and party chief and an introduction to calculations and deed research, Tom achieved the status of Project Surveyor.

Since 1987, Tom has worked as a Senior Project Surveyor for this firm. In this capacity, he has managed much of the local surveying work for the firm. Construction layout for contractors from the Seacoast area, boundary surveys of rural, suburban and urban properties and site surveys to support land use development applications categorize the bulk of the work which Tom has supervised.

In Tom’s present position, he has performed all facets of the work required to complete the projects assigned to him, including research, field work, computations and analysis, plan and report preparation, and project management.

During the past 15 years, Tom has also had responsibility for projects at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard where he has performed many close-tolerance surveys for crane rails and dry dock construction. In addition, he conducted hydrographic/dredge and control surveys for the moving of the Albacore submarine and performed layout control for painting equipment on the Interstate (I-95) Bridge, Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

During his years with CIVIL CONSULTANTS, Tom has actively pursued knowledge and education in the field of boundary surveying through self-study and professional workshops and seminars. He has served as an expert witness in a number of land boundary civil suits.
