George Chobanian brings 15 years of construction engineering experience to CIVIL CONSULTANTS. His expertise includes highways, bridges, airports, recreational sites, commercial and industrial facilities, sewer, and water.

Prior to joining CIVIL CONSULTANTS in February of 1987, George worked as a Construction Engineer for firms working primarily in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. He had responsibility for planning, estimating, and coordinating projects. Among the projects George has been responsible for include a section of Interstate 95 in Massachusetts, runway extension and construction at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, construction of a drawbridge in Newburyport, Massachusetts, reconstruction of rural highway and urban streets in Maine, and the construction of an athletic complex in Portland, Maine.

At CIVIL CONSULTANTS, George's primary assignments have been site development projects. He has participated in the design, permitting, and construction phase of projects ranging in scope from small residential subdivisions to complex condominium, commercial, and industrial. Projects include parking lot expansions and infrastructure improvements for several schools; underground fuel storage tank reconstruction and refitting for area schools; design and permitting for quarries and gravel pits; design and permitting for commercial industrial buildings.

George has had considerable experience constructing sewer and septic systems and has brought this knowledge to the design of approximately ten large subsurface disposal projects. His vast field experience makes him comfortable with all aspects of project development.
