Noble High School CIVIL CONSULTANTS provided surveying services for all aspects of the design of this new thirty-five million-dollar facility. In addition to performing a standard boundary survey for the 160-acre site, the firm conducted a preliminary cross section survey to aid in the conceptual design process. Once the site was determined to meet the requirements of the Architect with regard to size and slope characteristics based on the preliminary survey data, we provided topographic mapping of the parcel with one-foot contours. As the project progressed, the topographic site plan was augmented with wetlands and soils mapping data. To facilitate the transmission of water from a municipal supply to the site and the discharge of wastewater from the site to a public treatment plant, two miles of water line and two miles of sewer line, over different routes, need to be constructed. We performed cross-section and profile surveys of the proposed routes. The final surveying component in the design phase of the project involved the collection of data to support the redesigning of vehicular access routes to the site. The firm performed topographic and right-of-way surveys along two segments of State Route 9 and along portions of two local roads. Plans from a portion of these surveys are included in the materials submitted to HNTB. (Client, MSAD # 60 |
